Shoreline School of Montessori, Branford
August 2011. We have been thrilled to have our children attend the Shoreline School of Montessori for the past 8 years. Our youngest of 3 will graduate next year. The teachers are terrific…caring, nurturing and great educators. As a physician and an attorney, my wife and I have made our childrens’ education a priority. This school does not disappoint. They do a great job of teaching the basics, and push and challenge the children when they are ready to learn more.
Beyond the education, the teachers focus on the students’ social and emotional development. It really helps us as we try to raise polite, strong, well-adjusted children. The kids always enjoyed going to school every day. The worst part is always the graduation when this very special time in their lives comes to an end. However, they leave ready for the challenges ahead.

July 2011. With tears in my eyes I watched my second child graduate from Shoreline School of Montessori this past June. We selected SSM for our son back in 2007. We had attended a preschool program for a few short months when he turned 3. Although we liked the program we felt that he was yearning for a more stimulating environment where he could progress at his own pace and not be held back. Our son is profoundly deaf, however, with the gift of cochlear implants he has been given the gift of sound. The quieter environment, strong language skills and strong learning environment was the perfect fit for him and for us. We were beyond pleased with the love and support of the teachers and of his remarkable progress both academically and socially. Even his therapists were beyond pleased with his progress. In 2009 our daughter anxiously started her learning preschool days at SSM. She has followed in her brothers steps and has also gained the same strong love of learning skills that her brother did. Our only regret…………..that SSM only provides education through kindergarten. We all miss them so much!

June 2011. I chose the Shoreline School of Montessori because it came highly recommended by several friends and colleagues. My daughter is eager to go to school each day and comes home with wonderful stories of her daily experiences. The children learn French, music and all aspects of traditional Montessori learning. I started my daughter at SSM when she was 4 and the only downside is, I wish I had started her at 3 years old, to avail her of the full 3 year Montessori curriculum. The teaching staff and the director strive to make both parent and child comfortable, the SSM families and faculty are like one big family. I cannot stress what a loving environment is fostered at this wonderful school!
