Interdistrict Magnet Schools/Open Choice/Charter
Here is a timeline to the 2011-2012 magnet application process.
The New Haven and ACES Interdistrict Magnet Schools are open to all residents of Connecticut and include free transportation to bus students from many towns to the schools. An application is required, see New Haven Magnets and ACES Magnets. In addition, some New Haven charter schools are open to non-New Haven residents through a lottery system. Live links indicate schools that have been reviewed. Help us provide more reviews by clicking here!
In addition, six New Haven schools are open to area school districts through the ACES Open Choice program which is designed to reduce school segregation. An application due in April is required. Link here to the ACES Open Choice Website.
