Alanna Griffin is the owner operator of Grandmother’s Day Care, a licensed home day care in the Whitneyville section of Hamden.  She has been in business for well over 15 years, and provides a loving, developmentally-appropriate, nurturing environment, in her comfortable old home.  Our daughter was there full-time for three years, and she grew so beautifully under Alanna’s gentle (but firm) wing.  Because Grandmother’s Day Care is licensed, she can only take a small number of children, so it is difficult to get a spot, but keep trying and you may just get lucky like we did.
