Caseus (New Haven)
Enjoy seasonal menus focused on organic and locally-procured ingredients and artisanal cheeses at the bistro/fromagerie. Caters to sophisticated palates and is often booked up solid, so probably best for a date night (i.e. call on a sitter and treat yourself!).

G-Zen in Branford is a new restaurant run by the former chef/co-owner of ION in Middletown…it is vegan and vegetarian I believe, just opened up a few mos. ago…Haven’t tried it yet, but with Mark Shadle as the head chef, it is bound to be good…
Udupi Bhavan in Middeltown, Ct, is great for Indian style “pure veg” (i.e. veg + gee and without onions and garlic) cooking.
