Musing aloud about it, my husband, born in Calcutta nostalgically remarked " I grew up eating on stainless steel plates and cups, and I like that my son will now start doing the same." (India recycles almost everything.) Also, love the idea of wrapping gifts in old cloth. Easily made pretty with excess yarn & ribbon.
