Summer Youth Program at Guilford Art Center

Submitted by Guilford Art Center

Guilford Art Center announces its 2011 summer youth program June 27 – August 19. Summer youth classes are designed for students ages 3 ½ to 13, and offer all sorts of art experiences, from painting and drawing to ceramics, photography, mixed media and more.

Classes are scheduled on a weekly basis and are offered mornings (8:30am-noon) or afternoons (beginning 1pm). Morning and afternoon classes may be combined to make a full-day program.

“Summer students can choose from a huge range of classes,” says Maureen Belden, Guilford Art Center Program Director. “We have everything from painting and drawing classes to ‘Make Your Own Soda Bottle Chair.’ We also offer at least one clay class every week, since clay is always hugely popular with kids.”
