Cheese is for pizza. Not portraits of your children. That’s my theory behind creating great portraits of children.
As a mother of three children and 4 years of experience as a child portrait photographer, I know how to connect with kids. And it’s not by telling them to smile. Putting your child at ease is the key to bringing out his or her natural smile. The smile you know. The smile that melts your heart. The one you want to remember. Forever.
It’s all about comfort. Comfortable surroundings, comfortable clothing, and a comfort level with me. Dress your child in something simple and classic. We’ll head to the beach, the park, your home or even your backyard. Anywhere that works photographically that your child enjoys. When we meet, tell them I’m an old friend. We’ll have fun. We’ll be silly. And when we’re done, you’ll have more than just pictures of what they look like. You’ll have portraits of who they are.
Those first years pass so quickly. Before you know it they’ll be signing up for Little League or dance class. Let me help you capture those chubby-cheeked, thumb-sucking, blanket-carrying, teddy bear-loving days before they begin to fade.
