phpzfPqbxPMPlease mark your calendars and join us for upcoming Live Birds of Prey Presentations!

A Place Called Hope will be kicking off the February Bauer Lecture Series at St. Andrews Church in Madison on Saturday, Feb. 6th at 10am. It will be an hour-long program with 5 – 6 Birds from our residential faculty staff.  This is free and open to the public, all ages encouraged to support this event.  A Bird Walk will follow!

A Place Called Hope will be presenting at the Killingworth Library during school vacation week, Monday, February 15th at 1pm.  This is also free, but we are asking folks to bring an item from the “wish list” as admission.  Things like, garbage bags, stamps, copy paper, paper towels, bird seed, bleach, etc.  To learn more ideas, please check our web site.

A Place Called Hope will be presenting at Meigs Point Nature Center - Hammonasset State Park on Saturday, March 20th at 10am with a Birds of Prey Prowl.  Similar to the Owl Prowl, but this is a daytime event with both Raptors and Owls.  Each Bird will be stationed and groups of twenty will move through the Nature Center meeting each bird up close and personal.  Afterwards, a Bird Walk will take place at Hammonasset State Park to sight local native and migrating species.  Bring your cameras and your binoculars to this free family fun Birds of Prey encounter!  This is a pre-registration event so make sure to sign up at Meigs Point Nature Center by either stopping in or calling (203) 245-8743.

Remember to check us out on the web under the “programs” tab to learn of more upcoming public events as they are scheduled.
