There is still time to register for winter session workshops for adults and young people at Creative Arts Workshop! This term’s Young People’s Workshops include:

Make Your Own Snowglobe

Sunday, January 24, 1:00-3:00

Create a one-of-a-kind, fun snowglobe using a glass jar, figurines, glitter and decorative materials. Take it home with you and let it snow! For young people of all ages accompanied by an adult.

$35 per adult and child; members: $32 per adult and child

Art Circus!

Sunday, February 21, 1:00-5:00

Create your own fabulous spectacle, inspired by artist Alexander Calder’s circus and others. Make miniature circus animals, a ringmaster, performers and more using wire, clothespins, wood scraps, yarn, polymer clay and decorative materials. For young people of all ages accompanied by an adult.

$70 per adult and child; members: $63 per adult and child

Chinese New Year: Tiger!

Sunday, January 31, 1:00-4:00

Each year in the Chinese calendar is named for an animal. This year, celebrate the year of the Tiger! Learn to write the Chinese character for tiger with ink and brush. Make a tiger puppet, a paper lantern and a Chinese yo-yo. Ages 6+.

Valentine Heart Boxes

Sunday, February 7, 1:00-3:00

Learn techniques to sponge-paint a wooden box. Decorate with faux jewels and roses, ribbon, lace, glitter etc. Take your Valentine art box home with you, to keep or give to someone special! Ages 6+.

Winter Recess Fun Week

Monday through Friday, February 15-19, 9:00-3:00

For young people in 2nd-5th grades. Investigate clay, collage, drawing, painting, papier maché and wood. Build skills and exercise your imagination and expression.
