I can whole heartedly relate to your experience, and like you, I, too am raising a daughter who I would describe as familiarly "highly sensitive" and I can only hope that, as with you, my special empathy for this trait will allow me to raise her accordingly. We never know as parents what moment, sentence, song, activity, conversation, etc will be the kind of moment- in a childs perspective- to have a profound impact.
