Exercise during pregnancy has been shown to:
- Reduce musculoskeletal problems during and after pregnancy
- Stimulate a faster and less complicated labor
- Decrease cesarian rate
- Manage, and in some cases prevent, gestational diabetes and preeclampsia
- Decrease risk of pre-term labor
- Accelerate postpartum recovery and healing
- Enhance postpartum weight loss
Come learn about the benefits of exercise during pregnancy. Following a discussion, there will be a short demonstration of some functional and holistic exercise and meditation techniques used to prepare women’s bodies and minds for childbirth and beyond.
