Sunday in the Park in New Haven
Submitted by Katy Lawder
The 22nd annual Sunday in the Park will be held on September 20, from 11:00 to 5:00 at Edgerton Park.
Come and enjoy farm animals, birds, children’s games, silent auction, book sale (in the greenhouse), boutique, fresh produce & flower sale, bake sale, live music by Tuxedo Junction, folksingers, Morris Dancers, climbing wall, bounce, food and drink. Plus, pony rides will be available all day!
Sunday in the Park also promises it’s traditional attractions: the zip-line “sky-ride”, big tire swing, face paint, balloons, clowns, stilt-walkers, and activities with the Eli Whitney Museum and the Peabody Museum.
But that’s not all! NEW this year are: a bungee bounce, chess table, ball pit, park tour, and Amber Alert kids’ ID’s.
For its 21st year, Archie Moore’s Restaurant will donate–and grill–the food. Bread is donated by Chabaso Bakery this year. Additionally there will be pizza, baked goods and Italian Ice.
Donations and volunteers are always welcome! Donated goods for the Tag Sale, Auction and Book Sale are still being accepted thru Saturday, 9/19. To donate items or volunteer your time, please email David Cook at dcook@lincoln1.com.
