OMG, OMG, OMG!  I found it.

A while back, I saw the most stunning doll in Parenting magazine.  Somehow, I never managed to track down the details about that doll sitting so elegantly and having her tea.  I feel like the article wasn’t even about the dang doll (but now I’m going to go back and look).  Well, I’ve always kept that pretty rag doll in the back of my head as a gift for M.  Having grown up with a mother that made everything by hand–including things like hand-embroidered, flour sack dish towels.  yes, dish towels–it’s in my blood to be drawn to beautiful hand crafts.

I think Jess Brown’s dolls speak for themselves.  But to make you love them even more….  Each doll is one-of-a-kind and hand dyed.  Clothing is made from “antique, found and recycled remnants.”  As many hand made stories go, Jess started making dolls for her own daughter years ago with flea market finds.  Now, her dolls are sold in select stores throughout the country and internationally.
