Open Farms Day in Orange
Six farms in Orange will be showcased during Open Farms Day on Saturday, August 29. Farms promise to offer locally grown produce, barnyard animals, demonstrations and activities. Visit all 6 farms and your name will be entered into a raffle to win a prize consisting of products donated by each farm (see Farm Pass for details). A schedule of events is below:
Buttermilk Lane: farm animal petting zoo, child-friendly vegetable garden
Field View Farm: ice cream/farm store, visit with the animals in the barnyard
Grassy Hill Farm: vegetables & flowers for sale, visit with the animals
Shamrock Farm: vegetables & flowers for sale, visit with the animals
Maple View Farm: visit with the animals
Treat Farm: antique tractor & farm equipment display by Hayland Farm, vegetables & flowers for sale
